Iz Rockstar Gamesa znaju da će im igra donijeti toliki uspjeh da im se ne žuri s izbacivanjem iste. Njen prethodnik, GTA 5 je izašao 17. rujna 2013. godine, od tada do 2025. godine igra je zaradila preko 8,5 milijardi dolara. Što se prodanih kopija igre tiče, GTA 5 je prodan u 200 milijuna kopija, te je tako zasjela na drugo mjesto najprodavanije videoigre ikada.
Kada vam nakon tolikog uspjeha Rockstar poruči kako očekuje još bolje rezultate od GTA 6, jednostavno ne možete ne biti uzbuđeni. Da GTA 6 već sada ima ogroman hype iza sebe pokazuju i brojke na traileru za isti. Naime, prvi i jedini trailer za GTA 6 je izašao prije 7 mjeseci. U tom razdoblju ovaj trailer je skupio 200 milijuna pregleda na YouTubeu. Usporedbe radi, druga dva udarna Rockstarova naslova (GTA 5 i Red Dead Redemption 2) zajedno nisu skupili toliko pregleda na svojim trailerima. GTA 5 ima 111 milijuna pregleda dok Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer ima 25 milijuna pregleda.
Brojka od 200 milijuna pregleda čini GTA 6 trailer najgledanijim gaming trailerom na YouTubeu. Igra još nije ni izašla, a već ruši rekorde!
