Legendarni GTA: San Andreas zaokružio je 3D poglavlje u GTA franšizi te je sljedeći korak dolaskom novih konzola bio prelazak u HD svijet. Tako smo se vratili Liberty City s nama vrlo dragim Nikom Belićem.
Toga 29. travnja 2008. godine prvi puta smo dobili poziv na kuglanje našeg dragog rođaka Romana. Baš kao što je i sada to Rockstar je igru prvotno objavio samo za PlayStation 3 i Xbox 360 kao tada najsvježije konzole. Pokazat će se kako je to posljednji put da je neka generacija konzola dobila čak DVA Grand Theft Auto naslova.
GTA 4 bio je poznat po mnogo stvari. Prvenstveno tada revolucionarne grafike spram njegovog prethodnika. Odličnog modela vožnje i destrukcije automobila. Donio je multiplayer za do 16 igrača koji će biti osnova za GTA: Online koji nam je stigao s izlaskom petice. Niko Belić nije ostao jedini protagonist u igri dobili smo i dva DLC-a nešto kasnije Lost and Damned i The Ballad of Gay Tony.
