Sony je najavio novo ažuriranje za Gran Turismo 7, a ono uključuje niz novih automobila zajedno s promjenama u modelu fizike vožnje unutar igre. Kroz ovo ažuriranje, igrači će moći provozati ove automobile: BMW M3 ’97, Ferrari 430 Scuderia ’07, Genesis X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo Concept, Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 ‘08, RUF RGT 4.2 ‘16 i Subaru Impreza Rally Car ‘98.
Druga stvar koja se dodaje u Gran Turismo 7 je novi model fizike za koje Sony kaže da je to “veliko ažuriranje”. Iz Sonya poručuju kako je cilj ovog ažuriranja model fizike koji će unaprijediti model ovjesa i prebacivanje težine tijekom skretanja. Osim toga, odaziv guma je također poboljšan, zajedno s realističnijim zagrijavanjem i trošenjem guma.
Ostala ažuriranja za Gran Turismo 7 uključuje nove GT Cafe menije, nove staze, i novog AI agenta pod imenom Gran Turismo Sophy.
