Šuškalo se kako će nova igra iz Dying Light svijeta biti DLC, no na jučerašnjoj Gamescom prezentaciji prikazan je potpuno novi naslov. Riječ je o Dying Light: The Beast, a priča ovog naslova će spojiti radnju prva dva dijela. The Beast igrače vraća u ulogu legendarnog protagonista Kylea Cranea, a ako niste upoznati s tom personom niste pravi fan ovog serijala. Naime, Crane je bio protagonist u prvom dijelu igre, te u DLC-u The Following.
Kyle će u ovom dijelu tražiti osvetu nad ljudima koji su vršili eksperimente na njemu. Trailer je prikazao novo područje u koje nas igra vodi, a zove se Castor Woods. Naravno da svi možemo očekivati povratak parkour mehanike, po kojoj su ove igre poznate. Bit će prisutno i masakriranje zombija, nešto po čemu je također ovaj serijal poznat. Dying Light 2 je pokupio mnoge kritike zbog toga što igrači nisu mogli koristiti vatreno oružje, izgleda kako su developeri čuli sve prigovore, te su odlučili vratiti vatrena oružja u Dying Light: The Beast.
U početku The Beast je trebao biti DLC, tako da možemo reći kako su glasine koje su kružile internetom bile istinite. Mislim kako je ovo dobar potez bio odlučiti se na zasebnu igru, a ne ekspanziju. Za kraj, datum izlaska nam nije poznat, no očekujemo da ćemo ovaj naslov zaigrati na PlayStation 5, Xbox Series i PC-u.
