Eidos-Montreal pogodio novi val otkaza, a najavljuju se i dodatni rezovi, studio poznat po igrama poput Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy i svojoj podršci na Tomb Raider serijalu, ponovno je zahvaćen valom otkaza.
Tijekom posljednjih tjedana više je zaposlenika na LinkedInu potvrdilo da više nisu dio studija. Među njima je i gameplay direktor Samuel Daher, koji je kratko poručio da je “volio raditi u Eidosu, ali su vremena teška”. Prema dostupnim informacijama, najmanje desetak ljudi ostalo je bez posla – što predstavlja drugi veći rez otkako je u ožujku otpušteno 75 zaposlenika. Tadašnje objašnjenje glasilo je da su “mandati zaposlenika došli kraju.”
Nažalost, čini se da ovo nije kraj… Prema nekim izvorima, većina projekata u studiju je otkazana. Eidos-Montreal sada je prvenstveno usmjeren na suradnju s Microsoftom i Xboxom na igrama poput Grounded 2 i Fable. Ostaje i jedan interni projekt koji traje od 2019. godine, ali navodno nema realnu šansu povratiti uložena sredstva. Nakon što se trenutni projekti dovrše, očekuje se još jedan val otpuštanja.
