U Fortnite je došlo treće poglavlje za sezonu četiri. Kroz trailer vidimo misterioznu tvar koja se pojavila na otoku, Chrome. Ta tvar jede sve pred sobom i preuzima njihov oblik. Već smo navikli na dosta lude priče u Fortnite sezonama, iako je začuđujuće da sa svakom novom sezonom sve više iznenade.
Kao što to biva svake sezone, mapa je dobila nekoliko promjena. Tako sada imamo dosta lokacija koje su prekrivene Chromeom. Na tim lokacijama, ali i posvuda po mapi, možemo pronaći nova oružja na kojim se nalazi Chrome. Naime ta su oružja jako zanimljiva, što radimo veću štetu neprijateljima tom oružju je povećava kvaliteta (npr iz Rare u Epic…). Osim novih oružja pomoću novog itema mi možemo postati Chrome. Kada postanemo Chrome onda prolazimo kroz zidove i puno se brže krećemo po mapi.
Nova sezona znači novi Battle Pass, koji po običaju ima 100 tirova koje trebamo otključati. Ove sezone skin na zadnjem tiru je Spider-Gwen iz Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Uz Gwen, u Battle Passu dobivamo: Bytes, Grriz, Meow Skulls, Lennox Rose, Twyn, a kasnije dolazi poseban skin kao i svake sezone, The Herald. The Herald je predstavljena kao glavna negativka ove sezone i odgovorna za pojavu Chromea na otoku.
