Stiglo je najnovije besplatno ažuriranje za Doom: The Dark Ages i donosi ono što će mnogim fanovima zvučati kao savršeni game mode. Riječ je o Ripatoriumu, a ovo je samo Doomov način da kažu beskonačni arena mode.
Dakle, Ripatorium je potpuno novi način igranja u kojem igrači sami kreiraju svoju borbu.. Na raspolaganju su tri arene: City of Ry’uul, Village of Khalim i Harbour of Souls. Uz pomoć novog Encounter Manager izbornika igrači mogu odabrati koje i koliko demona će se pojaviti, postaviti vremensko ograničenje ili uključiti Endless mode ako žele vidjeti koliko dugo mogu preživjeti. Postoji i respawn counter kojeg se također može dodatno prilagoditi, a za potpuni doživljaj developeri su se pobrinuli dodavanjem jukeboxa.
Osim Ripatorium moda, ovo besplatno ažuriranje dodaje i Benchmark mode, koji igračima donosi opciju kreiranja lopping sekvenci prolazaka kroz level kako bi testirali performanse. Također, dva nova Slayer skina su sada dostupna u Doom: The Dark Ages. Jedan je Quakecon Doom Slayer, kojeg možete otključati povezivanjem vašeg Bethesda.net računa i igranjem igre između 7. kolovoza i 1. rujna. Drugi je The Perfection Doom Slayer, kojeg igrači dobivaju nakon što završe sve Ripatorium arene.
