CBS i Innersloth prvi su put najavili seriju u lipnju 2023. godine s malom najavom slikom i tek nekoliko detalja. Službeni trailer za seriju ponavlja premisu same igre. Dakle, posada svemirskog broda morat će identificirati izvanzemaljca koji mijenja oblik i ubija pripadnike posade.
Od prve najave, glumačka postava animirane serije Among Us nastavila se širiti s nekim iznenađujućim imenima. U ožujku 2024. godine glavni holivudski glumci poput Elijaha Wooda i Ashley Johnson pridružili su se glumačkoj postavi. Ostali članovi glumačke ekipe su Randall Park i Yvette Nicole Brown.
