Blizzard je na The Game Awardsu službeno predstavio novu ekspanziju za Diablo 4 pod nazivom Lord of Hatred koja izlazi 28. travnja 2026. godine. Cinematic trailer ponovno je dostavio ono što Blizzard najbolje radi – mračnu atmosferu, odličnu produkciju i povratak jednog od najvećih ikona serijala Mephista
Ekspanzija donosi i dvije nove klase. Prva je potvrđena i to je Paladin, još jedan klasik Diablo franšize, koji će biti dostupan svima koji naprave pre-order. Druga klasa tek je kratko nagoviještena u traileru, ali detalji još nisu otkriveni. Uz Mephista i nove likove, Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred uvodi i velike promjene u gameplay. Blizzard najavljuje veliko proširenje endgame sustava, povećanje level capa, te povratak legendarnog Horadric Cubea. Usput, Diablo 4 dobiva i pomalo neočekivanu mehaniku – ribolov. Čemu služi, još ne znamo, ali sigurno će imati svoju ulogu.
