Firaxis je prikazao gameplay svog novog Civilization 7. Detaljno su promjene objasnili ljudi koji stoje iza igre.
Vizualni stil oslanja se na Civilization 5 i 6 s time da će cartoonish biti izraženiji baš kao što je to bio slučaj i u petici. Mapa će izgledati bolje, s detaljnijim poljima i lljepše dizajniranim građevinama koje će se na njima nalazit.
Civilization 7 uvodi sustav nazvan “Ages”, razdoblja bi bila najbolji prijevod na hrvatski. Svakim novim povijesnim razdobljem igra će se mijenjati. Igrač će se susretati s drugim vladarima i državama. Imati će drugačije mehanike na raspolaganju samim time i zadatke. Gradovi će biti drugačiji te će sada nastajati kao mjesta ili sela. Više neće biti distrikta već će kao i stvarni gradovi sve biti izmješano.
Promjena je zaista dosta i Civilization 7 biti će veliki zaokreat za serijal. Nekim starijim ljubiteljima serijala se to možda i neće svidjeti, ali kako kažu developeri riječ je o novoj igri, a ne ekspanziji postojeće. Civilization 7 igramo kako je i najavljeno 11. veljače 2025.
