Najavljena je nova igra u Onimusha serijala na sinoćnjem The Game Awards 2024. Posljednji naslov iz ovog serijala dobili smo 2018. godine s remasterom Onimusha: Warlords, a sada dobivamo potpuno novu igru, Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Na prvu se čini kako će ovaj naslov imati soulslike mehanike.
Ono što nikako ne smijemo oduzeti Capcomu je element iznenađenja, jer mislim da nitko iz gaming zajednice nije očekivao ovu najavu. Štoviše, mnogi su vjerovali kako se ovaj serijal nikada neće vratiti. Capcom je prije nekoliko godina bio žrtva hakerskog napada koji je završio otkrivanjem nekoliko njihovih projekata. Osim naziva igre, znamo da se radi na RE Engienu i da će biti objavljena za konzole i PC 2026. godine.
