Prvi veliki trailer za Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies stigao je i donio povratak legendarnih likova. Treyarch je odlučio nastaviti priču tamo gdje je završila u Black Ops 6, a novi nastavak donosi najveću Zombies mapu do sada.
Trailer pod nazivom Ashes of the Damned prikazuje kako se likovi iz Black Ops 6 udružili s originalnom Zombies postavom – Takeom, Dempseyjem, Nikolajem i Richtofenom. Svi zajedno završavaju u Dark Aether dimenziji, unutar Janus Towersa. Nova prijetnja je misteriozni čovjek s kaubojskim šeširom i južnjačkim naglaskom, koji koristi kaveze sa zombijevskim glavama za izvlačenje života iz likova. Time ih pretvara u djelomično zombificirane verzije samih sebe. Tema priče vrti se oko borbe za vlastite duše i bijega iz Dark Aethera.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies imat će najveću mapom ikad, smještenom u Dark Aether dimenziji. Inspirirana je kultnom Tranzit mapom iz Black Ops 2, a igrači će koristiti novo Wonder Vehicle vozilo kako bi se lakše kretali istom. Activision je čak potvrdio da radi i stvarnu repliku vozila koja je viđena tijekom jednog online streama. Posebno je zanimljivo kako su iz Treyarcha izjavili da se radi o potpuno novim i Zanimljivo, Treyarch je naglasio da se radi o potpuno novim oličenjima originalne ekipe. Dakle, ne radi se o Ultimis ili Primis verzijama likova koje smo upoznali u prošlim nastavcima.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 izlazi 14. studenog za PlayStation 4 i 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S i PC. Više informacija o Zombies modu očekuje se sljedeći tjedan, dok će se Call of Duty: Next event održati 30. rujna i otkriti će nove detalje o multiplayeru. Za kraj, beta verzija za Xbox, PlayStation i PC počinje 2. listopada.
