Blizzard je najavio kako dodaju nove misije vezane za priču u Overwatch 2. No, nove misije će koštati 15 dolara, a dolaze 10.08. ove godine. Cijeli event će biti nazvan Overwatch 2: Invasion.
On će u igru dodati tri misije koje su smještene u Rio de Janeiru, Torontu i Gothenburgu. Bit će to posebno uređene mape, a misije će biti kompleksne, te će imati složene ciljeve. Priča neće biti bezvezna, već kako ju ljudi iz Blizzarda opisuju “dubinska”. Postoje i nove vrste neprijatelja protiv kojih ćemo se boriti, kao što su topnici i Stalkeri.
Kupnjom paketa Overwatch 2: Invasion, osim pristupa misijama, dobijte još i 1000 novčića, pristup novom heroju Sojurnu i legendarni skin za istog. Blizzard je također najavio gašenje PvE Hero moda, što je posebno razljutilo neke igrače. Doduše puno je veći broj igrača koji su bijesni zbog vijesti o novim misijama i dodatnim izvlačenjem novca od igrača.
