BLAST je danas objavio promjenu u formatu koja nam donosi Bo5 format finala, format će vrijediti za sva BLAST natjecanja.
Iako je mnogima Bo5 “naporan” za gledat, a kamoli igračima za igrat, ova promjena bi mogla biti i dobra. Jedan od problema u Esportu od početka Cs2-a, je taj što su mečevi često kratki i nisu zanimljivi. To je zbog promjene na MR12 (u CSGO-u je bio MR15).
Reakcija publike na ovu promjenu je zapravo pretežito pozitivna, te su navijači “zahvalni” organizatorima. Ova promjena stupa u efekt odma u Spring Finals koji se igra za dva mjeseca u Londonu. Tako da će sada program nedjeljom biti duži i zanimljiviji (barem na turnirima BLAST-a).
Ovaj format se ne koristi često, odnosno koristi se samo u nekim natjecanjima IEM-a. Igrači i navijači ga u CSGO-u nisu mrzili, no nisu ga ni podržavali. Bilo je jako naporno za igrače, a navijači nemaju “cijeli dan” da bi pratili finale. Međutim, sada kraćim mečevima u CS2 možda možemo očekivati više Bo5 format na turnirima.
