Ubisoft je (ne)ugodno iznenadio igrače najavom posebnog crossovera između Assassin’s Creed Shadowsa i animea Attack on Titan. Događaj je vremenski ograničen i traje od 25. studenog do 22. prosinca.
Nova misija odvija se u misterioznoj Crystal Cave, gdje čudovišno stvorenje prijeti našim protagonistima. Igrači koji su otključali Yasukea kao igrivog lika mogu preuzeti zadatak tako što će razgovarati s likom imena Ada u regiji Yamashiro, sjeverno od Hanazo Towera. Nagrade su uglavnom dekorativne, poput zastava i statue, a po završetku misije otključavate i crystal katanu za Naoe. U trgovini su dodatno dostupni Attack on Titan kozmetički paketi s novim outfitima, oružjem i čak novim mountom.
Uz crossover, nova nadogradnja donosi i treću besplatnu story misiju pod nazivom A Puzzlement, lagano humorističnu avanturu u kojoj Naoe i Yasuke pokušavaju otvoriti misteriozna vrata u južnom Wakasiju. Usput dobivaju i nove vještine, Naoe će moći izvesti vlastitu verziju Yasukeovog war kicka, dok će Yasuke dobiti nove, nenasilne stealth poteze.
