Iako EA više nema licencu za razvoj FIFA igara, 2K je pokupio mrvice i sada rade na novom projektu. 2K koji iz godine u godinu dostavlja vrlo kvalitetne NBA naslove kojima nema konkurenata na tržištu. Oni sada započinju, odnosno već su započeli rad na novoj nogometnoj simulaciji. Naravno da se očekuje da njihov naslov bude izravni konkurent EA Sports FC naslovima.
NBA 2K igre su odlične, ali imaju veliki problem s mikrotransakcijama, no nećemo se lagati ima i EA Sports FC isti problem. Ako 2K uspije nešto napraviti povodom toga, mogli bi dobiti naslov koji će itekako konkurirati EA-u.
Dosta se šuškalo o tome da će 2K dobiti licencu, a to je sada i službeno. Sve se opet saznalo na X platformi gdje je korisnik MohPlay najavio FIFA 2K25!
